County Executive, Chris Collins Comes to Visit!

On September 25th we had Erie County Executive Chris Collins as our guest speaker. He first told us a little about himself and how he came into office. He also touched base a little on future programs for seniors. County Executive Chris Collins then visited with the residents and also took a tour of our facility. Last week we joined Eden Heights of Eden to have a steak lunch to honor the fathers! After lunch we enjoyed delicious cheesecake with melba sauce! The men enjoyed each other's company, and the time that they were able to establish new friendships!

Dog Show

Last Friday we hosted our third annual dog show. Our announcer for the day was Del Monaco, and we had thirteen dogs enter the show. The dogs were judged based on their physical appearance, grooming, behavior, and any learned tricks. Our third place winner won a bag of treats, and our second and first prize winners won gift certificates to Pet Smart! Below are pictures from the show!

Hand Paraffin Waxes

West Valley

Yesterday we took a scenic country ride out to West Valley, New York. We ate lunch with Jane Gertis's daughter and friends. We enjoyed a delicious lunch that consisted of chicken parmesan, pasta, and a vegetable medley. The lunch didn't end with the entree. After lunch we were served homemade orange creamsicle cake. After enjoying our dessert we took a ride to a local Alpaca ranch. Altogether, we had a fun-filled day full of fellowship and sight seeing. Enjoy the pictures below!

Gifts from Friends

The Action group of West Seneca brought in little bumble bees they made for all of the residents in our facility. These gifts were in honor of Mother's Day and Father's Day! We are very thankful that they wanted to donate their time and come visit us! We look forward to having them back soon!
